ST NAZIANZ SEWER UTILITY
Subject: Sewer Utility Rate Increase
The Village Board has continued to carefully monitor the Sewer Utility’s financials and has discussed them in detail with the auditor. Due to increased operating expenses at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, as well as additional costs with the WI DNR for WET Test compliance, the Village Board has approved a rate increase for the Sewer Utility.
To address the current deficit and ensure all operating costs are met, the following rate change has been approved:
- The REU charge of $62 per REU will increase to $82 per REU.
- The Volume Charge of $15 per 1,000 gallons will increase to $17.50 per 1,000 gallons.
With these increases, the average residential customer’s quarterly sewer bill (based on usage of 8,300 gallons) will rise from $186.50 to $227.25 per quarter. This rate increase will take effect on the 4th Quarter - December 10, 2026, billing. The 2026 Utility Rates can be found by clicking the link or by contacting the Village Hall at 920-773-2471.
